The Mr Mill Fund

In September 2022, our little family was turned upside down when that 4 became 3.

Let me tell you about Paul. He was a one-of-a-kind, kind of guy. He was classy and gracious. He was thoughtful and creative. Sincere but never too serious. And to us of course he was just perfect.

Known in his professional career as Paul Emmanuel, he was an amazingly talented and well-respected entertainer, his voice was truly special. Music and his family were simply his world.

Gone too suddenly and far too soon, we were comforted by all the stories of friendship and kindness he gave to so many. It warms our hearts and brings about a smile each time someone tells us about the time he supported them as a friend, that funny story, or just how he was always the one that kept in touch and the person everybody loved. Someone told us that he was not only interesting, but that he was also interested in how others were.

Paul was personally a humble man but his conversations never strayed too far from boasting about his girls and The Mill’s achievements and successes.

In March 2019, Paul helped support our two girls – Georgia and Courtney in setting up their dream business, The Mill Gymnastics Academy.

As a husband and father, he was simply the best. He was also The Mill’s number one fan, occasional handyman, and the go-to frontman for all our events and was affectionately given the title Mr Mill by all the gymnasts. This title became the perfect name for the fund.

We have coined the phrase ‘to be more Paul’ in our lives and to honour his life and love for it. We are hoping that the Mr Mill Fund set up in Paul’s name and memory will continue to share his talent for making others smile and offer a little help when needed to pursue and achieve young children’s passions.

Families will be able to access the fund to help contribute towards sports and musical pursuits.

We have started this fund with all the money kindly donated at his funeral and hope to continue it into the future through support from his girls, and The Mill.

This fund will be administered externally and in a professional manner.
